Sheila Bandyopadhyay (Playwright/Director) is a movement specialist, director and devisor of original theater in New York City. Most recently, Sheila served as Movement Director for The Humanist Project’s Macbeth produced at The Secret Theater. Her collaboratively devised work has been seen at seen at the West End Theater, the 72nd St Theater Lab, Brooklyn’s Brick Theater, the Boston Center for the Arts, and the Minneapolis and Montreal Fringe Festivals. Sheila regularly directs productions at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she is also Head of the Movement Department.
Jay Dunn (Collaborating Artist/Movement Director) is a Brooklyn-based Actor, Director and Choreographer who creates dynamic, story-driven movement choreography for plays, musicals and opera. He has performed most recently as an actor & co-movement director in The Village of Vale at Lincoln Center Education. Additional credits include Off-Broadway, regional and international theaters and festivals. Jay is a graduate of Middlebury College and earned his from MFA equivalent from The Lecoq School. He is an alum of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab and SDC Foundation Observership program and currently teaches Movement and Acting at SUNY Purchase and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Emily Kron is a multi-hyphenate artist and content creator, working in film, theatre and music. Emily has written and directed short film & video pieces (Millie, A National Period) as well co-created and performed in many, many comedy sketches (Galmance, viral sensation Handsome Dancer and more.) She also directs music videos for her band Em & The Fates, where she’s BB King, 54 Below & is about to start a residency at Rockwood Music Hall. Her work has been featured on Refinery29, Now: This Her, Into The Gloss, Bitch Media and more. Some favorite acting credits include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Lil Red in Into the Woods, Daphna in Bad Jews, Phoebe in As You Like It and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, (the last two being award winning performances.) She recently played a co-star on NBC’s Shades of Blue and leading roles on comedy pilots commissioned of Comedy Central and Randomhouse. She usually likes to make work about women, for women. Yay!
Melissa Lourie received her M.F.A. in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. She was an equity actress for many years before co-founding the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival in 1987 with friend and colleague Terry O’Brien. Lourie served as Producing Director of that company until moving to Vermont in 1993. Since then, Lourie has acted at Northern Stage, Vermont Stage Company and in several independent films. She was an adjunct instructor of acting and theater at the University of Vermont for over 24 years. Melissa is the Artistic Director of Middlebury Actors Workshop, the local professional theater company in residence at THT. She is also currently a member of the Courageous Stage team at Town Hall Theater, bringing Shakespeare to elementary schools throughout the region.
Craig Maravich is a theatre artist living in Vermont and Visiting Assistant Professor at Middlebury College. Craig is also the Co-Founder/Programs Director of Courageous Stage where he develops programs that use the theater arts as a means for teaching literacy, creating a student-driven learning experience, and fostering creativity in over twenty schools across Vermont. As an actor, his credits include work with leading theatres across the country for the past twenty years. Craig is a company member of the Bread Loaf Acting Ensemble and faculty artist at Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English. He has held teaching positions with Hofstra University, The Bread Loaf School of English, St. Michael’s College, UVM, The Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, The Flynn Center for the Arts, and private classes/coaching in NYC. He received his MFA from The Shakespeare Theatre’s Academy for Classical Acting/George Washington University.
Cláudio Medeiros teaches Theatre and directs for the stage at Middlebury College in Vermont. His wide-ranging interest in dramatic literature has led him to direct a variety of plays, from Shakespeare, Greek tragedy and European classics to works by contemporary Latin American authors and North American playwrights like Tony Kushner, Sarah Ruhl and Daniel MacIvor. He is currently working on an English translation of three plays by Griselda Gambaro, Argentina’s most important female playwright of the twentieth century. Medeiros is also a master instructor with Pinnacle Performance, and in that capacity he employs his theatre experience to help individuals become more effective communicators. A native of Brazil, Medeiros divides his time between Vermont and Montreal. In addition to English and Portuguese, he speaks French and Spanish. He holds a PhD in Theatre from the University of California at Berkeley.
Julia Proctor is an actor, educator and collaborator based in NYC. She has worked on new play developments with such companies at New Dramatists, The Lark, Project Y, and Arena Stage, as well as fully produced world premieres. She was an apprentice to master clown Christopher Bayes in NYC and trained with French master clown Philippe Gaulier in Paris. Julia produced, and co-starred in, a 6-month run of An Unapologetic Mess at the People’s Improv Theatre. She holds a BA in Theatre from Middlebury College and an MFA in Classical Acting from George Washington University
Nathan Siler (Composer) is a Bronx-based performer and composer. Favorite projects include: Featured Orchestration for BAM (Jules Verne: From the Earth to the Moon); Original podcast theme song (Reverence Road); Film scores (The Widowers; We Are Mary); Full orchestral suite for Grammy© award winning children’s rock band Sugar-Free Allstars (performed by Winston-Salem Philharmonic and Oklahoma City Philharmonic); Music Director for ORYANS BELLT TV (Licorice Loft and Evan’s World). Siler is also a choral artist who frequently sings at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He is the chief architect for NYC guitar-pop/art rock band Portraiture.
Tara Giordano ‘02, New York, NY (Artistic Director) is a Helen Hayes Award Nominee, a recipient of the Washington DC Arts Commission Fellowship, and an 11-season company member of PTP/NYC. Her acting credits include roles Off-Broadway and at top regional venues like Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, Kennedy Center, Folger Theatre, and New York Theatre Workshop. Experienced in voiceovers, she has recorded over 40 narrations with Audible, Graphic Audio, and HowCast and voiced characters for the Marvel Comics series Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy, and X-Men. On camera work includes the feature films YellowBrickRoad and Ex-Girlfriends. Ms. Giordano has worked with students at Middlebury College, Boston University, Stephens College, and Juniata College as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Theatre and Guest Director. She is a graduate of Middlebury College, an MFA recipient from The Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University, and a full time faculty member at American University in DC.
